Smoked Carafe with edging
Mouth-blown and handmade glassware by the best glassblowers in Bohemia.
Origin: Bohemia (Czech Republic)
This glassware, made mainly from old glass from the 16th and 17th century, is called “Forest glass” or “fern glass”. Some glasses sometimes require the work of two craftsmen, where one, for example, will blow the glass and the other will add the decoration. Achieving the historic “look” requires a special technique that only the skilled person possesses. Also the production is modest, from 40 to 50 glasses per day.
